Plainview/Garland Texas

Time to join the young folks in this computer world.  I’m at the “BROADWAY BREW COFFEE” shop with free internet connection and all.  Plainview is getting up in this world.  Good coffee and goodies plus interesting people.  I’m sure you will be welcome when you attend the all school reunion.

Today is the day to clean house, install virus protectors and other things that I have been putting off.  So far I’m ahead of the game so I may get to go outside and enjoy the sunshine.  The walking trail looks good so I’ll probably try it for a little walk.

The 2010 All School reunion is not far away.  Any prliminary pictures can be sent by email.  You can use the “contact” tab at the top of the blog to let me know and I’ll send my email address if you don’t already have it.

Well, everyone must do a little training.  In my case I am learning to add photographs in an album with gallery groups just in case you would want to add some reunion photos.  Wish me luck.

It has been raining all morning.  Something a little different for this part of the country.  Guess the standard West Texas social comment will not be appropriate today.  “Reckon it will rain?  I don’t know.  We could sure use it.”

It’s July and I assume that everyone is on their favorite diet and exercise program so they can get in their reunion clothes.

In Plainview it is raining today.  I really don’t want to look at the weather report to see what July 4 will bring, but I can say that it will be another day of freedom.  The current temperature is about 71 deg. f..  Can’t say what the Reunion weekend will bring, but there is a real good chance that it will be hot.  Until next time,

In the near future I will be presenting information on the Plainview High School 2010 all school reunion on the PHS reunion web site. (This is a new blog procedure for me using WordPress so I’m limiting my comments. More later…

Friends and relatives keep asking, “Why don’t you take more pictures?”, and I keep saying, “Take more pictures of what?”. Everything this year is the same as it was last year and the year before that.

Then it hit me. Why not honor the vegetation that really deserves a place of honor in the Flat Plains of Texas. You know, the things that farm kids and gardeners see every day.

So, here is my hall of honor. There is just one problem. I don’t know the names of the honorary weeds and a few other items so I’ll depend on you to give me “your” correct name in the comment section. From that I will label each honorary weed with its proper name. (btw you can also use the “PHS Forum” to send “your” proper weed name if you like. If I get a request for registration on the Forum I will approve it and you are off and running.) Have fun.

Howdy,
Well, Plainview has really done a great job on its new hike and bike trail. My dog, Seeka, and I have been making use of it about three times a week. It is really outstanding for those of us who really need to exercise. It’s also great for those that just want to get out in the fresh air away from traffic and the normal daily life. Hope to see you along the trail.
